Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Arciuze ("Arciuze", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the Arciuze iOS app, our website at arciuze.com, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to use Arciuze. You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms where you live, and you must not be barred from using the Service under applicable law.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your sign-in method secure and don't share access.
- You may only create one account for yourself. Don't impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization or community.
- Provide accurate information where asked. You can edit your profile at any time.
- We may refuse or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Arciuze to:
- Post content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit involving anyone under 18, or that incites violence;
- Impersonate another person, create fake communities, or manipulate event-attendance verification;
- Sell, exchange, or transfer your account; collect data about other users without consent; scrape the Service; or reverse-engineer any part of it;
- Upload malware, spam, or bulk unsolicited messages;
- Interfere with the Service's infrastructure, rate limits, or security measures;
- Violate anyone else's intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights.
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts that break these rules. Serious or repeated violations can lead to a permanent ban.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant Arciuze a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, process, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Service — for example, showing your post to the audience you chose, caching it for performance, or rendering a preview inside a message. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except to the extent the content has been shared with others (who retain their copies) or retained in backups that will be overwritten.
You represent that you have the rights to post the content you upload and that it doesn't violate anyone's rights or any law. You're solely responsible for your content.
6. Events, tickets & payments
Events are organized by communities and their organizers. Arciuze is a platform — we do not host, produce, or underwrite events. We are not a party to the contract between an attendee and an organizer.
6.1 Tickets
When an event charges for admission, Arciuze facilitates the ticket purchase through our payments provider, Razorpay. All payment information is handled by Razorpay under its own terms and privacy policy; Arciuze does not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
6.2 Refunds
Refund policy is set by each event organizer and must be disclosed on the event page. If you believe a payment was charged in error, contact the organizer first; if that fails, email support@arciuze.com and we'll help mediate where we can.
6.3 Attendance verification
Verified attendance unlocks direct messages between attendees of the same event and may change how your profile appears to others. Attempting to forge, share, or otherwise abuse attendance QR codes is grounds for immediate account termination.
7. Reports, blocks & moderation
You can report any user, post, comment, message, or event from its overflow menu, and you can block any user from their profile. We review reports and take action consistent with these Terms and our community guidelines. We may act on our own initiative as well, but we don't pre-screen all content, and we don't guarantee that any particular piece of content will be removed.
We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users, as required by the App Store. Confirmed violations result in takedown and, where appropriate, account termination within 24 hours of report.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, messaging), Apple (Sign in with Apple, push notifications), and Razorpay (payments). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms. Links or references to other third-party websites are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for them.
9. Termination
- You can leave any time. Delete your account from Profile > Settings > Delete account. We will remove your profile, posts, stories, memberships, friend edges, and message content, and delete your Firebase Authentication record.
- We can terminate or suspend your account if you materially violate these Terms, create risk to us or to other users, or if continued service becomes legally or commercially impractical.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., content license for retained copies, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content will be accurate, reliable, or remain available.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arciuze and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim and (b) USD 100.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Arciuze from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party right.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll notify you in-app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Arciuze is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles and subject to any non-waivable consumer-protection rights in your place of residence. Before bringing a formal legal claim, you agree to first contact us at support@arciuze.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
